On April 5th, 2007, the Cassville Women's Golf Assoc. held their Kick-off breakfast with 35 ladies attending. Following the breakfast, a business/organizational meeting was held. Next week, April 12, will kick off our Day's Play with a golf clinic, followed by a 2 person scramble.

Cassvile Women's Golf Assn. held their end of the year Award's Luncheon on
October 25, 2007 at the Emory Melton Inn at Roaring River Lodge. There were
40 ladies attending. After a wonderful lunch President,Janie Watson
presented Lynn Blanke with a plaque & a pin for her hole in one.
Pat Ervin, 9 Hole chairman presented awards to the 9 holers as follows:

The Blue team beat the Red team by 2 points. Kathy Cooper, Alice Cupps,

There were 31 ladies attending the banquet today held at the "Over the Hill Grill". 18 Holer Awards were as follows:
Low Gross for the year was Janie Watson with a 77 on 8-10-06. Low Net for the year was Bonnie Shelton with a 66 on 6-20-06. Most chip ins went to Betty Seely with 8. Most Birdies was Janie Watson with 9. Cheryl Ludwig won the most putts in one game. Susie Jacobs, Jeannie Shoup, and Debra York won for breaking 100 for the 1st time this year. With eight ladies in attendence for the Nine Hole Cassville Ladies League, the following is the results of the 2-person scramble:

Coming in first with a score of 47 was the team of Barb Kuhlman and Pat Ervin. Coming in second with a score of 49 was the team of Carol Barekman and Kathy Wheat. Winning low putts with 13, was the team of Barb Kuhlman and Pat Ervin.

August 31,2006 - 9 Holers
There were ten ladies in attendence for the Red/Blue play of the day for the Nine Hole Ladies League. Six ladies playing for the Blue Team and four ladies playing for the Red Team. The Blue Team earned five points for attendence and the Red Team earned five points for low score. There were no chip ins for either team. The Red Team is still ahead with a score of 271/2 to the Blue Teams 221/2 points.

Day's Event Blue Team vs Red Team

There were a total of 29 ladies present today. The Blue Team had 11 players present to 9 players for the Red winning 5 points.The Red Team had 355 for low net scores compared to 360 for the Blue Team. Red Team won 5 points. For the Blue Team, Sue Louk, Bernice Mahoney, and Sue Steele had chip ins. Joanna Hotzler had a birdie on #15 and Bonnie Shelton had a birdie on #6 both for the Blue Team giving them 5 more points. Janie Watson had a birdie on #15 for 1 point for the Red. Total points for Blue is 10. Total points for the Red is 6 making the score now RED TEAM 30 POINTS TO BLUE TEAM 43 POINTS.

Day's Play - Beat the Pro

There were 26 ladies present today and the object of today's play was to beat Randy Meadows with our handicap and him playing from the blue tees playing scratch golf. He never did tell us his score but said all of us beat him. I don't think this was true but he gave all of us a pink golf ball playing 3 or 4 holes with all us. All had a good time but Randy. We consoled Randy by giving him some gifts for his grief such as Rolaids for his indigestion, asprin for his headache, and chocolate to console him. All had a good time. Susie Jacobs won low net score. Betty Seeley had a chip in on #13. Ann Ogle, Mary Lee Meyerkord, and Bonnie Shelton tied for low putts.

August 24, 2006 - 9 Holers
Barb Kuhlman came in with a 30 after deducting her handicap. Kathy Cooper came in with
a 34 after deducting her handicap. Barbara Dudley had a chip in on #4. Pat Ervin had low putts with a 16.

The winners were: Kathy Cooper placed 1st Low Net with Betty Beatty coming in 2nd Low Net.

Susie Jacobs had a Birdie on #6. Jackie Rose Had a Birdie on #11. Janie Watson had Birdies on #3, #6, #14 and also won low putts with a 27.

August 3, 2006 - 18 Holers

There were 16 ladies today. We played a 4-person 9 Hole scamble. The winners were Bonnie Shelton, Jackie Rose, Carol Skarp, and Janie Watson with a 35. Two teams tied for 2nd place. They were Bernice Mahoney, Ann Ogle, Jeannie Shoup, and Betty Seely. Also the team of Almyra Klassen, Sue Louk, Letha Ellis and Jo Blair. All shooting a 39. Kathy Cooper had a chip in #8. Carol Skarp had a chip on #2. Good job, ladies.

July 27, 2006 - 18 Holers

There were 24 ladies present today. The Red Team had 7 present with the Blue Team having 9 to win 5 points. Five top low net scores for the Blue Team was 343 to 349 for the Red Team. The Blue Team won another 5 Pts. Sue Louk had a birdie on #11 and Betty Seely had a chip in on #9 for 2 more points for the Blue. Susie Jacobs had a Chip in on #1 and Jackie Rose had a birdie on #11 for 2 points for the Red Team. The score stands now at Blue Team 33 vs Red Team 24. There was a 4-way tie for low putts. Bonnie Shelton, Carol Easter Skarp, Jackie Rose and Betty Seely all had 31.

We had 6 blue golfers and 4 red golfers in attendence for the 9 hole Cassville league.
Kathy Wheat and Jo Blair tied for low putts with 17 each.

There were 16 tough ladies present today even though the temperature was over 100 degrees. Bernice Mahoney won with a 68. Janie Watson took 2nd with a 69 and had chip ins on #2, #13 and #18. Kay Haupert had a chip in on #15. Debra York had a Birdie on #4. Ann Ogle won low putts with a 27.

There were 19 ladies present. The winners were Bonnie Shelton and Betty Seely. 2nd place went to Letha Ellis and Sue Louk. Bonnie Shelton had a birdie on #17. Janie Watson had a birdie on #7 and Joanna Hotzler had a birdie on # 11. Jeannie Shoup had a chip in on # 6. Janie Watson won low putts with a 27. It was a beautiful cool July day for golf.

Linda Graham chipped in on #8 for no putts and a par. She also had low puts
for the day with 15.

There were 22 ladies total today. The Blue Team had 9 in attendance to the Red Teams 7 for 5 points. Low Net also went to the Blue Team 376 to 386 for the Red Team for another 5 points. Joanna Hotzler had a chip in on #3 for 1 point for the Blue Team. Bonnie Shelton had a birdie on #6 and Sue Louk had a birdie on #4 for 2 more points for the Blue. Total points for the Blue Team was 13. Janie Watson had a birdie on # 5 for 1 point for the Red. The score now stands Red Team 22 vs Blue Team 21.

3 Clubs and a Putter Scamble We had total of 21 ladies present today. Bonnie Shelton, Letha Ellis, and Debra York won 1st place with a 78. They also had a birdie on #11. Janie Watson, Ruth Callahan, and Mary Lee Meyerkord had a birdie on #10. Phylis Roberts, Jackie Rose, and Mary Lambert had chip in on #9. It was a great day of golf.

There was a total of 24 ladies present. Letha Ellis and Debra York won 1st place with an 84. They also had a shared Birdie on #5. 2nd place went to Ann Ogle and Kay Haupert with an 89. Mara Dona Smith shared a chip in on #16. All had a good time.

June 8, 2006 - 18 Holers
There were 29 ladies present today. Day's Play was Guess Your Score. Debra York guessed and shot 105. Bonnie Shelton also guessed her score at 103 tieing for 1st place. Ann Ogle guessed her at 98 and shot a 97 for 2nd place. Jackie Rose had a birdie on #4. Betty Seely had a chip in on #2. Low putts went to Betty Seely with a 29. 2nd place went to Ann Ogle with 30 putts.

There were 30 ladies total today. The days play event was Criers Tourney. 1st place went to Janie Watson with a 77. 2nd place was Lynn Blanke with a 85. Jakcie Rose had a chip in on #3. Debra York had a chip in on #17. Letha Ellis had a chip in on #12. Letha Ellis and Janie Watson had a birdie on #11. Mara Dona Smith and Janie Watson tied for low putts with a 30.

May 25 - 18 Holers
Total ladies present was 22. Day's Play was Red team vs. Blue team. There was a tie for attendance. The Red team won low net total scores 365 to368 for 5 points. For the Blue team Joanna Hotzler had a birdie on #11, Ann Ogle #18, Bonnie Shelton #6. Bonnie Shelton and Sue Steele had chip ins for a total of 5 points. For the Red team Janie Watson had a Birdie on #11 and 14, Letha Ellis #5, for a total of 3 points. Letha Ellis also won low putts with a 28. Total score this week for the Red team 8 points. 18 Holers day play event was Pink Lady. We had a total of 28 present. The team of Joanna Hotzler and Ann Ogle tied with Mary Lambert and Jeannie Shoup with a 42. Debra York had a chip in and a birdie on #11. Joanna Hotzler had a chip in on #3. Mara Dona Smith won low putts with a 29 and Sue Louk came in 2nd.

MAY 11
The game was Fields and Greens. The 9 Holers had 6 present. The winners were Pat Ervin and Kathy Cooper with a 49. The 18 Holers had 13 present. The team of Janie Watson, Dee Bryan, Sue Steele, and Mary Lee Meyerkord won with an 81. Betty Seely won low putts with 30 and Sue Steele came in 2nd with 32.

April 13 Golf Clinic
Cassville Women's Golf Assn. held a golf clinic consisting with Randy Meadows giving us putting and chipping tips. There were 27 ladies attending. Afterward a 9 Hole get acqauinted Scramble was held. 1st place was the team of Shirley Kelly, Linda Graham, Pat Ervin, and Janie Watson. 2nd place was the team of Mara Dona Smith, Letha Ellis, Jo Blair and Jeannie Shoup. All had a good time.

April 20 First day of Play-Round Robin
9 Hole Club Winners were Pat Ervin and Carol Barekman with a low gross of 51 each.

18 Hole play was Round Robin. Winners were Joana Hotzler, Bonnie Shelton, Debra York, and Lynn Blanke, each with 6 points. Chip ins were as follows: Lynn Blanke, Dee Bryan, Shirley Weatherly, Betty Seely and Sue Louk with 2 chip ins. Jackie Rose had a birdie on # 1. Sue Louk won fewest putts with a 31.

April 27 Red Team vs Blue Team
The game was Red team vs Blue team. We had total of 23 ladies. The Red team received 5 pts. for most present. They also received 5 pts. for lowest net scores. Carol Easter and Jackie Rose had chip ins for the Red team. Jackie Rose also had a birdie on #2 giving the Red team a total of 13 points. Sue Steele, Ann Ogle and Sue Louk had chip ins for the Blue team giving them a total of 3 points. All had a great time.
